In this strip, we finally get to the fun part. Drawing the vehicles  I need practice with cars, so I had alot of vehicle shots scripted. I drew the Humvee entirely from memory. Not bad, huh? ^^ My neighbor Tasha came over, and it just so happens that her first husband was in the Marines! I showed her the page as I was adding the text in Paint.NET and she liked it. ^^b She also showed me mistakes I've made: The helmet and uniforms are off slightly from RL. I even forgot their medals 0.o! Even when you're a newbie fresh out of boot camp, you gotta have at least few metals (which in the trade are called "fruit salad"). So I still have alot of researching to do... I know Smiley isn't a manly nickname worthy of life in the Corps., but for a perpetually cheerful person, I couldn't think of anything better  OTL |
